We checked in with Xavier Muriel in his Texas garage and he was ready with an exciting update to the High Seas Rally’s custom bike build. Xavier is “honored, stoked, excited, jazzed” to share with you the result of his recent pitstop in California to collaborate with Rick Bray of RKB Kustom Speed on the bike’s frame.
Now that the frame has been cut, bent, turned, heated, shaped, formed and finished by hand from raw materials, where does Xavier go from here?
“Imagine that feeling you had as a kid, going to sleep knowing that when you wake up it’s time to open Christmas presents … it’s that very same feeling,” Xavier says. “I’ve been fortunate to have S&S Motors help me out with one of their 80-inch black and chrome motors, Baker Drivetrain came to the table with an awesome blacked-out 5 speed tranny, and BDL closed the deal with one of their tried and true systems.”
Next up: Xavier will set up the drivetrain in the frame and start mocking up the build. The wheels are coming from Black Bike Wheels, matted up with some Metzeler Rubber.
Then the fun REALLY begins. If you sailing on the cruise next October, you are automatically entered to win this incredible custom bike!
