A trio of hot rod baggers with fresh swagger and new features is part of the collection of special Harley-Davidson Touring motorcycles for 2021. With a slammed stance and muscular Milwaukee-Eight 114 power, the Road King Special, Road Glide Special and Street Glide Special models combine street presence with the long-haul capabilities of the Harley Touring chassis.
For 2021, the Street Glide Special and Road Glide Special models are offered with new two-tone paint options, and with a choice of blacked-out or bright chrome styling treatments, giving the customer a choice of a look that’s dark and sinister, or brilliant and more traditional. All Special models are now equipped with the high-performance Ventilator air cleaner with a washable filter element and a new low-profile engine guard.
Milwaukee-Eight 114 Power
Each Special model is powered by the Milwaukee-Eight 114 V-Twin engine, the most displacement and power offered from the factory for Harley-Davidson Touring model motorcycles. In the Touring chassis, the rubber-mounted and counter-balanced Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine delivers inspiring performance and that classic Harley-Davidson look.
Street Glide Special
The original hot rod bagger rolls behind a classic Harley batwing fairing. Authoritative power meets long-haul comfort and custom style. A new feature for 2021 includes a Chrome Option: The Street Glide Special model may be ordered with either Chrome or Dark styling. Chrome replaces these black components: Powertrain covers and trim, front end, handlebar, exhaust, tank console and other details. When the Chrome option is selected, the Prodigy wheels are finished in Gloss Black with machined highlights.
For the first time a two-tone paint option is available for the Street Glide Special model: Gauntlet Gray Metallic / Vivid Black with either Chrome or Dark styling.
Road Glide Special
This performance bagger combines menacing style with aerodynamic comfort and the power of the Milwaukee-Eight 114 engine. Unlike the Batwing fairing, the two headlight Road Glide fairing doesn’t move with the handlebars.
New Features for 2021 include the Chrome Option and may be ordered with either Chrome or Dark styling. Android Auto application compatibility is new a feature of the Boom! Box GTS sound system, which also supports Apple CarPlay software. With a wired connection to a compatible smartphone, the rider may use either app to access media, streaming services, communication and navigation on the road while minimizing distractions.
Road King Special
Tradition with muscle. A Harley-Davidson icon is transformed by custom bagger style and Milwaukee-Eight 114 power. New features for 2021 include a Low Profile Engine Guard, LED Headlamp, and Dark Styling: Black powertrain covers, mufflers and exhaust shields, headlamp nacelle, front forks, engine guard, saddlebag rails, handlebar, mirrors, foot and hand controls, console, footboards and passenger, rear light bar and front turn signals.
